I am a complete beginner rider, can I book a trek?
Absolutely, we cater for all levels and you do not need any previous riding experience before coming to us for a trek. You will be mounted on one of our super horses and we will be here to guide you.
I am not a beginner rider, will I be able to canter?
It’s great that you are keen to ride at a faster pace. We have hacks that are for experienced riders only.
What age do you need to be to go on a trek?
We cater for ages from 10 years +.
Beginners will be on a lead rein
I would love to come trekking but I am nervous and only want to walk
Walking is fine, and what beats a steady walk in the countryside on horseback.
Be assured you have nothing to be nervous about.
How do I book?
Contact us via phone, email, website contact page, facebook or instagram. We will help you choose the correct service and a day/time that suits you best.
How do I pay?
Payment is taken to confirm booking. This can be made via transfer or online card payment, we also have a card machine in our reception or cash for payment on the day.
Can my friends and I all go trekking together?
Absolutely, we welcome group bookings and we hope for lots of laughs along the way!
What is a trek?
Depending on how long you are going trekking depends on the type of terrain. We have various options available: from a simple relaxing walk, walk and some steady trotting, walk and more upbeat trotting, walk, trot and cantering.
When should I arrive?
Please try and arrive at least 10 minutes early for your trek so we can make sure you are on your horse and ready to go.
What if I need to cancel?
Due to an increasing amount of late cancellations & ‘no shows’ we have had to implement a cancellation policy.
Please let us know if you need to cancel your appointment.
If cancellation is within 48 hours – 50% of the fee will be retained/charged
For ‘No shows’ & cancellations within 24 hours - the full fee will be retained/charged
What if the weather is bad?
This is Scotland, we are used to all sorts of weather here! In extreme weather then treks/hacks may be changed to an indoor riding activity.
